At Eclectikos, we've done our best to create a Web site that anticipates and satisfies our customers' needs. With that goal in mind, we've compiled a list of frequently asked questions. If you do not find an answer to your question here, contact us at  info@eclectikos.com.

General Questions:

Q: Is Eclectikos pottery food-safe.?

 A: All Eclectikos functional stoneware is made using non-toxic glazes and is meant to be used.  Raku pottery is considered decorative.  While the raku glazes we use are non-toxic, the glazes themselves can react with food, damaging the finish of the piece.

Q: Is Eclectikos jewelry food-safe?

A:  We do not recommend eating Eclectikos jewelry.  Please do not allow your children to eat it either.

Q:  What does oven-safe mean?

A:  Oven safe means that the clays, glazes, and firing processes we use will stand up to reasonable use in an oven, but you should treat it as you would a glass baking dish.  Do not put a cold pan into a hot oven, do not heat at temperatures above about 325 F.
 

Q:  I like this one, but I would prefer it in a different color.  Can you make me another?

A:  Yes, we can custom make items to suit your own style.  Just drop us an e-mail.

Q:  Just what range of glaze colors do you have available?

A:  Because we do not limit ourselves to a single type of firing process, we have access to an extremely wide palette of glaze colors and surface finishes.  If you are trying to match a specific color for either pottery or jewelry, there is a good chance that we will be able come very close.  Send us an e-mail for more information.

Q:  I see that you have dragon’s tooth pendants.  Are you guys killing dragons for jewelry?

A:  No, we slay them for the meat.  No, not really!  Actually, all the dragon’s teeth we use in the jewelry are either baby  dragon teeth that fall out naturally, or are from dragons that died from old age.  No actual dragons are harmed in the production of our products.  And some of our dragons teeth are even made out of stoneware clay.
